The JS-3 Type R is a ground up redesign of the original JS-3 Tiger, updated as a no holds barred, pure performance racing machine. Feature updates include higher stiffness, better weight distribution, countersunk bolts on the underside of the body to enable the use of velcro or other slim battery friction systems, lower profile body, and an average one gram weight reduction!
This leaves us with superior handling characteristics above ~80% throttle, and improved response and acceleration across the entire throttle range.
Best of all the JS-3 Type R uses the same body bolt pattern as the original JS-3 & THIC, so all parts are interchangeable and cross compatible! (Note: upgrading a standard JS-3 to a THIC or Type-R body also requires the countersunk bolts, Type-R arms don’t support Tiger/THIC arm braces)
