The ImpulseRC ApexLR Evo 7″ FPV Frame Kit excels in long-range FPV flying. Designed for 7-inch propellers, it offers stability and efficiency for extended flights. Tention Braces

As prop size increases, the longer arms required cause vibration issues which negatively impact flight performance and video stability. The ApexLR EVO uses a unique tension brace design between the arms to increase stiffness and shift the resonant frequency of the assembly.

Pre-loading the arms in this way allows us to keep vibration to a manageable level while still using 5.5mm thick arms for a 7″ prop. Our approach saves 20g in carbon weight alone compared to equivalent 8mm thick arms.

The ApexLR EVO is a variation on the typical ‘dead cat’ frame which we have modified to keep the front and rear motors aligned, allowing us to maintain the much loved compressed-x geometry in the motor layout.

This ensures the frame remains balanced and flight characteristics are not compromised, unlike the classic ‘dead cat’ design which moves the rear motors closer to the body and severely impacts handling

Camera Mount

The Apex EVO includes a redesigned aluminium camera mount with 3D printed inserts for stability and electrical isolation. It’s adaptable to various HD and analog cameras, allowing adjustment of the camera’s position within the frame. The camera mount features four adjustable positions, each 2mm apart, by rotating the TPU inserts and using either the upper or lower bolt as a pivot.

HD Video System Isolation

Some HD video systems have grounding issues. The kit includes M2 and M1.6 mounting hardware for Caddx Vista and DJI O3, respectively, along with a mylar insulator and non-conductive POM ‘cone rivets’ to prevent grounding issues, adding only 0.5g of weight.

Antenna Mounting

Each kit contains a 3D printed antenna mount suitable for HD video systems and similar antennas.
