Binding Procedure
- Power the FC via USB until the red LED turns off. Repeat twice. On the third power-up, a double-flashing red LED indicates binding mode.
- Ensure your ExpressLRS TX module is V3.x.x. Use ExpressLRS.lua from the transmitter’s “TOOLS” menu to bind. A slowly blinking then solid red LED indicates success.
LED Status:
- Solid Red: Bound/RC link established.
- Double-Flash Red: Binding mode.
- Slow Flash Red: No RC signal.
- Fast Flash Red: ExpressLRS Wi-Fi enabled.
- Tri-Flash Red: Model mismatch (toggle Model Match).
UART Overview:
- ExpressLRS receiver defaults to UART2.
- UART1 for MSP OSD with HD VTX.
- UART6 for GPS or serial devices.
- IRX6 for inverted SBUS input (mutually exclusive with TX6/RX6).
Notes
1. Betaflight 4.4.x Firmware Upgrade:
– When upgrading to Betaflight 4.4.x, include custom definitions `GYRO_SPI_ICM42688P` and `ACC_SPI_ICM42688P` in the build configuration of the Betaflight Configurator. This step is crucial to ensure the gyro functions correctly.
2. Enabling the Barometer:
– Connect to the Betaflight Configurator and access the CLI (Command Line Interface).
– Enter the following commands to configure the barometer:
- resource I2C_SCL 2 B10
- resource I2C_SDA 2 B11
- set baro_bustype = I2C
- set baro_i2c_device = 2
- save
– These commands set up the necessary I2C resources and configure the barometer settings.
